Juice and Renew: A Weekend Yoga and Cleanse Retreat

Prama Welness Center

The Prama Institute & Wellness Center invites you to a gentle yet transformative weekend retreat designed to nourish the body, calm the mind, and reconnect you with your natural vitality. Set in the healing beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Marshall, North Carolina, this short but impactful getaway combines a one-day juice fast with yoga, meditation, and hands-on workshops on making delicious, medicinal smoothies and cleansing juices.

On the fasting day (Saturday), fresh juices and vegetable broth are served throughout the day. Nutritional, organic raw and cooked meals are provided on Friday evening and Sunday for breakfast and lunch, gently transitioning the digestive system into and out of the cleanse. Through the weekend, participants will discover how fasting, yoga, meditation, and fresh nutrition can heal and harmonize body and spirit — awakening energy, clarity, and inner peace.

Whether you seek to reset your health, deepen your self-care practice, or simply pause and reconnect, this retreat offers a perfect balance of renewal and inspiration. More details on the approach can be found on the Prama Wellness Method page at prama.org.

What You’ll Learn

The retreat includes specialized workshops that teach the basics of juice fasting and intermittent fasting, how to design your own juices at home, how to pick the best juicer for your needs, and how to make medicinal and antioxidant smoothies. These practical skills are designed to carry the benefits of the retreat well beyond the weekend.

Your Facilitators

The retreat is led by two experienced practitioners. Ramesh Bjonnes is the Director of the Prama Wellness Center, where lifestyle is considered the best medicine. A writer, yogi, and workshop leader, Ramesh studied yoga therapy in Nepal and India, Ayurveda at the California College of Ayurveda, and is a certified yoga detox therapist from the AM Wellness program.

Radhika Banu is a certified sound meditation and wellness practitioner who has been deeply inspired by the transformative power of sacred sounds since childhood. She has studied under some of the most renowned teachers in the field and brings her daily practice of sound exploration to the retreat experience.

What’s Included

The retreat package covers 2 nights of accommodation on Prama’s secluded mountain campus. On day 2 (the fasting day), participants receive 3 nutritious, cleansing, organic juices and broths. Delicious, light plant-based meals are provided for the first and last meals to gently transition the digestive system into and out of the cleanse. Enema kits and mud packs for skin cleansing are provided on an optional basis, and participants have unlimited access to the cedar sauna throughout the stay.

The program features daily yoga classes and daily meditation sessions suitable for all levels, along with specialized workshops on making medicinal smoothies and cleansing juices. Group sharing and support sessions foster community among participants. Group sizes are kept small — a maximum of 16 people — to ensure personalized connection and guidance from the facilitators.

Participants also enjoy access to forest trails, free parking, Wi-Fi in all facilities, and water and detoxifying teas served throughout the day.

Optional add-ons include personalized one-on-one wellness consultations with Ramesh and massages, both available for an extra fee.
